2019 Make A Wish Gala

The 2019 Make A Wish Gala, presented by Oaktree Capital, was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA on the rainy evening of November 20th. Being a high profile event, the list of attendees contained many celebrities, successful business founders, industry leaders, etc. As one of two photographers contracted by BLKBX Creative Group, our jobs were to capture step and repeats, Make A Wish branding, attendees bidding, and guest enjoying the festivities overall. As an automotive/outdoor lifestyle photographer/videographer, this was quite the change of pace for myself. Only a few times before have I had the chance to shoot events, however none rival the high profile nature of this one. With no time to spare, from the second that I arrived at 4:30pm, I began covering the event until 10pm. Overall, it was a pleasure shoot this event and get a taste of the journalist side of photography.
