Carstar

Carstar is an auto collision repair chain, here in Los Angeles they have many locations. Within the past few months, the owner of the Glendale, Montrose, and Sun Valley Carstar locations contacted me to shoot photos of all three his locations. These photos are a part of an effort to revamp the websites for these locations. Aside from making each of these locations presentable for a customer to bring their vehicle, certain equipment needed to be in the pictures for insurance purposes to show that these locations are suitable for proper collision repair. The Sun Valley location is notably larger than the other two locations, therefore the largest location was shot one morning and the other two were shot another morning. I find it interesting how shooting glamorous photos of cars for fun, and then eventually for a living can lead to jobs that do not necessarily involve any type of artistic vision, but are car related. In the beginning when I first started shooting cars just for fun, I never imagine that shooting photos of cars could open up doors to other photography gigs relating to cars.
